Vetiver grass is grown for many purposes. The plant helps to stabilise soil and protects it against erosion, but it can also protect fields against pests

Watering

In dry weather, water every day making sure to keep the soil moist . In wet and cold weather thrice a week. Advised to use Aquaguard water to avoid a residue buildup of white spots on the leaves

The plant does well not only at room temperature but also in a warm environment . Spritz with water once a day to maintain humidity in warm weather

Feeding / Fertilizer requirement

Apply organic feed like vermicompost, all-purpose plant food once in 15 days if using synthetic fertilizer like NPK. Foliar spray once a week.

Pest / Diseases

Reasonably pest resistant. Stagnation of water on leaves leads to bacterial infections. Prone to Root rot , Aphids And Mealybugs . Use of Neem Oil is advised .
